BEC World Plc (BEC) reported its cancellation in the subscription TV service between The Mass Communication Authority of Thailand and Bangkok Entertainment Ltd as follows: As Bangkok Entertainment Ltd, the company's affiliate, had an agreement with The Mass Communication Authority of Thailand to cooperate in the subscription TV service as informed in the prospectus submitted to the SEC and the SET. But as there were many private sectors were granted to run this kind of business, the company now is not willing to service TV subscription and has cancelled the agreement with The Mass Communication Authority of Thailand. The company has paid about Bt10 million (excluding VAT) to The Mass Communication of Thailand and has waived right to redeem compensation paid to The Mass Communication Authority of Thailand in 1995 of Bt10 million (excluding VAT) already.
