August 9, 2001 To : President Stock Exchange of Thailand Re : Submission of financial statements for the 2nd quarter of 2001 and explanation on the difference over 20 per cent from the same period last year. Enclosures : Financial statements for the 2nd quarter of 2001 We are sending you herewith the enclosed financial statement of the Company and the consolidated statement of the group for the 2nd quarter of 2001 ended 30th June 2001, which were reviewed by both the Auditor and our Audit Committee. The operating result of the group for this 2nd quarter of 2001 is a profit of Baht455 million, higher than the profit of the same period last year by 35percent. The increase of our profitability is the direct result of the increase over 15% of our sales revenues over the same period of last year. The additional revenues came from an increase in volume of business, from the increase of our airtime rates during the evening slots, which was effective since last October, and from the BEC-Tero's revenues from movie and shows. Furthermore, during this quarter of last year the group also incurred loss on covering the European Championship Football Matches (the EURO200), thus the profit of the group improved a lot.
